SOLVO comes in first, this time in Dubai

25 December 2013
SOLVO became the only Russian-based company, which took part in this year’s international exhibition, TOC Container Supply Chain: Middle East 2013, which was held from the 9th to the 11th of December at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), in Dubai, UAE.
Daniel Pershin, head of the marketing at SOLVO, took part as a keynote speaker at the Tech TALK program as part of the Terminal Intelligence: Big Data & IT session, with a report titled “A single document and terminal management system – for all cargo types.”

The presentation also included an announcement of the latest version of Solvo.TOS, which added the ability to manage any type of cargo and develop various types of system configurations practically at any detail level depending on client preference, all within a single informational field. SOLVO likewise offers a full lineup of specialized systems as well as customized ad-hoc solutions. These include an independent management system for the truck operation area and a stand-alone EDI module, which can be integrated with any third-party systems.

Visitors were especially interested in the last video clip regarding the workflow of Solvo.TOS and the demo-model of the automated dock crane-operator’s workplace – a specialized graphical interface, which gives the operator the ability to confirm container loading/unloading in real-time using touch screen controls.

Visitors got the chance to experience the demo-model at the company stand. The given functionality of the system module is a type of know-how of SOLVO and will subsequently serve as a platform for updating modules for the management of loading-unloading equipment using the RDT.

SOLVO likewise held successful meetings with many port operators of the Middle East, which included DP World, Gulftainer and others. The SOLVO delegation team had the opportunity to visit the office and the container terminal of DP World, which is considered to be the largest container terminal in the world.
