The sixth international “Black Sea Container Summit” was held from the 5th to the 7th of September at which SOLVO once again participated as the event’s perennial sponsor. The summit organizers included publisher “Ports Ukraine” and the BlackSeaTrans informational-analytical center. The summit was held under the auspices of the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).

Organizers and participants of the summit consider the event as a display of “container might” in the Black Sea region. The summit served as a platform to discuss issues of infrastructure development for container and railway shipping and stevedore activities in maritime ports. Maxim Maximov, the head of the analytics and consulting department at SOLVO, presented a report titled the “Maintenance and Support of the Container Terminal Management System.” The report covered the approach used by SOLVO to provide support for projects from the time a support agreement is signed with the customer up to the moment a system is launched into the operation and maintenance phase.

Summit participants got a chance to visit the “Ilyichevsk Container Terminal” (formerly known as “Ukratranskontainer”), where the Solvo.CTMS management system is currently resuming operations after down-time caused by the suspension of container terminal activity.
