SOLVO Announces Partnership with Symeo at TOC Europe 2015

SOLVO has signed a partnership agreement with Symeo, one of the world’s leading developers and manufacturers of modern HF radio sensor technology used for positioning and distance measurement of containers and terminal equipment.

The new partnership gives SOLVO exclusive rights to distribute Symeo products on Russian territory. In addition, one of the main benefits of the new agreement with Symeo will be the increase in container handling at container terminals and other facilities.

Furthermore, the joint solution DHNSS (GPS and Glonass) from SOLVO and Symeo, called Symeo PDS used for precise positioning of terminal equipment under any conditions, will allow to identify the location and even the weight of the container in real time as soon as the container is grabbed by the spreader, even in tight spaces due to closely placed container stacks, which typically block the direct GPS signal between the receiver and satellite.
