SOLVO Sets Course for Intermodal South America in Brazil

21 March 2017

SOLVO is excited to announce it will be taking part at the largest event for the logistics, cargo transport and foreign trade industries, Intermodal South America.

This year, the event will take place in April 4-6th in Sao Paulo, Brazil, at the Transamerica Expo Center.

SOLVO welcomes everyone at its stand 1-121 where attendees will get a sneak peak of the latest version of its flagship Solvo.TOS terminal operating system that's slated for release this fall.

Intermodal South America is considered by executives of the industry as a strategic platform to do business because it gathers the key players from the national and international markets over the three days of the event, encouraging new business and partnerships.

This year, 600 exhibitors and over 45,000 participants, with participants from 60 countries are expected to attend the 3-day event, which will focus on all four logistics modals: air, maritime, rail, and road.

SOLVO is particularly focused on the fast-growing South American market. According to data from the Brazilian Foreign Commerce Association (AEB), the country’s trade balance is to set a record this year, with a surplus of around US$ 51.65 billion. This would lead to a 7.2% increase in exports compared to 2016, amounting to US$ 197.4 billion, and a 5.2% increase in exports, which corresponds to US$ 145.7 billion.

Both estimates of foreign commerce growth, following five years of collapse, shall directly impact on production volumes of nearly all economic segments, such as aeronautics, farming, the auto industry and mining, which stood out in exports in 2016, according to the Department of Industry, Foreign Commerce and Services (MDIC), and which are expected to perform equally well this year, with direct impact on bulk and container cargo logistics.

SOLVO is looking forward to see you at this year's Intermodal South America at stand 1-121.
